Summary: The villa was gorgeous, and very clean. However, the power went out on me three times. One which made me miss my birthday photo shoot in Caangu. I contacted security in the middle of the night several times only to get no answer. At 5 am I walked to the booth to find the night security guard sleep on the floor( Maintenance still did not show for several hours) The day security was amazing. He made sure you were very comfortable and went above and beyond to do so. Housekeeping was also great along with the lady’s at the check in. I also could not play my music due to permanent tenants complaining about the noise yet the villa is advertised as sound proof which is one of the reasons I booked it. There were stray cats and dogs roaming the property and I was extremely nervous as I am allergic to cats and one was waiting every time I came in and out. I think the previous guest were feeding him because he would cry at my door for at least an hour upon entry. To ease my frustration the manager did deliver a birthday cake to me for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. However for my 50th birthday as a solo traveler I would have definitely stayed somewhere else.
