The Daks is an all-season camp located in Keene, NY. We normally require a 7-night stay, but will consider 3-night stays on certain weekends (please message us).
Whether you're climbing the 46 High Peaks, trekking Adirondack trails, kayaking on Mirror Lake or exploring the shops of Lake Placid, this is your mountain getaway. Enjoy views of High Peaks from the deck (Cascade, Porter, Pitchoff, a 'peek' of Marcy and others), watch the ever-changing sky, and follow deer grazing in the meadow below.
Guests who've stayed with us just can't get enough of the view. And it's a perfect escape from the city - bring your whole family and sneak in some work too!
Relax with nature on the wrap-around deck while enjoying gorgeous 180-degree views, and take a hike up Little and Big Crow just 1/4 mile up the road.
The kitchen appliances include a refrigerator, electric stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The living room offers a lovely view with large windows and has wood burning fireplace.
There are three bedrooms (2 queen beds, 2 singles), two full bathrooms with showers, garage, charcoal grill, picnic table and a spacious lawn for outdoor activities. Sorry, pets cannot be accommodated at this rental and of course, we offer a smoke free environment.
While we do have internet (WiFi), come ready to connect with nature and read your that book you've been wanting to curl up with!
We're one town from Lake Placid, a quick 15 minute drive through the mountains, 30 minutes from Whiteface Ski Mountain and right in the middle of many 46-er trail heads.
Lastly, we consider this house our home, and use it many times a year. We welcome guests who will treat it with love :-)
