You'll find this single-story cottage on the serene, quiet side of Mount Desert Island, on a piece of sound-front property with a dock that's shared with three other homes. So much is within minutes of you here - Echo Lake and the boundaries of Acadia (just over a mile), kayak rentals in the charming town of Southwest Harbor (five miles), and the bustling restaurants and shops of Bar Harbor (11 miles).
The outdoor spaces are something special, whether you're sipping your coffee on the deck at sunrise, launching a rented kayak, or setting up the provided chairs and towels on the pebbly shore. In the evenings, watch the setting sun illuminate Sargent Mountain as you light the gas grill for dinner, enjoy the built-in seating on the deck, and gather around the firepit for s'mores and ghost stories.
The interior is sunny and breezy, with a rear wall of glass doors that frame the water and open to the deck. Enjoy a well-equipped eat-in kitchen and a living room where you can stream movies via Roku, set up board games, and read in the warmth of the gas fireplace. High-speed WiFi is on hand as well.
