Grand Isle is 90 mins from the Montreal (YUL) airport and 35 mins from Burlington (BTV). Access to Grand Isle from either airport is straightforward.
Grand Isle is a small town on an island in Lake Champlain, but "The Islands" are made up several towns and connected islands via causeways, bridges and a draw bridge. Each with small grocery / convenience stores, Emmons is about 1 mile from the house and is a small grocery store. Costco and Shaw's (larger chain grocery store) are appx 30 mins away in Colchester).
We have several restaurants - Blue Paddle Bistro, Sand Bar Restaurant, Pan's Pizza, Two Heroes Brewery / Meeting House, Wally's Bagels, Seb's, - all in South Hero, North Hero House (Pier Bar and Restaurant), Shore Acres, Bravo Zulu in North Hero.
The Islands offer a peaceful setting for great biking, hiking, and of course world class fishing on Lake Champlain.
