Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The accommodation itself is really beautiful. The wooden design creates a very cozy atmosphere, the view is wonderful, and the evening meal delivered from a warung was very tasty as well. The host couple is warm and genuinely friendly.

Negative: We had quite a few slugs in the bathroom, and unfortunately the toilet still showed traces from previous guests, so it doesn’t seem to have been cleaned thoroughly before our arrival. The pillows were very hard, which made sleeping difficult for us. Our night ended around 4 a.m. due to the nearby mosques and roosters, which is common in the area but still worth mentioning. The property is shared by many different “family members,” including the frequently mentioned “neighbor,” who seems to be quite eager to offer additional services. We also had a somewhat mixed experience with Lintan, the guide. While he was friendly and talkative, he approached us several times with offers for tours, which felt a bit too persistent for our taste. On the way back, he asked for a higher price than the one originally mentioned by the host, which left us a bit disappointed.
