Visit the surrounding museums and hear the history of one of the few remaining Butterfield Stagecoach stops, or travel minutes to one of the four nearby state parks for hiking, biking, exploring the falls or fishing, and retire to charcoal grill steaks on the deck. The Butterfield faces the main street through the historic district with a view of surrounding historic properties and museums, including the founding family's home and stagecoach stop, the town's first bank built in 1903, the mercantile museum and from the back of the property: a cattle dipping vat.
