Come stay at our spacious yet cozy family-friendly home on Merrymeeting Bay. At the end of our private driveway, you'll come to our home situated on a beautiful wildflower meadow with a large yard for your kids and pets to romp around. Next to our house and yard is hundreds of acres of conserved forest, as well as a path down to our waterfront on Chops Creek. At high tide you can take out a kayak and explore the creek, or you can just hang out on our swing seat and watch the sunset with a glass of wine.
In the house you'll find a modern and well-stocked kitchen, a large farmhouse dining table, and a comfy leather couch. The three bedrooms all have crazy comfy mattresses and crisp linens. We have Roku TVs with all the usual streaming platforms and fast wifi. There is also a dedicated office with a printer and two external monitors.
The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, but not too remote. We have two neighboring houses, all sweet folks who are friendly but generally keep to themselves. Down the field from our house we have a cabin that we occasionally rent out and occasionally stay in ourselves--so we can be available if needed. And there are trails in the woods, plus a connecting public road that's quiet with little traffic, to take walks or go on runs.
We are ten minutes from historic downtown Bath, with several restaurants, cafes, shops, and places to stroll around, as well as a great dog park. We are 45 minutes from Portland and close by to beaches, parks, hikes, and all that midcoast Maine has to offer.
The New Sauna is IN! 6 Person, wood fired Sauna behind the house in what we call "The Glade". Reserve up to 4 hours/day! There are other rental cabins on the property so please be kind in sharing the woods or waterfront.
